MCAT

The Medical college admission test ,MCAT,is designed for prospective medical students in the United States and Canada.It is a computer based standardized exam . The examination can be taken online in Prometric centers and are offered for more than 25 times a year .The examination is conducted by American Association of Medical Colleges.Knowledge in field of Physical sciences, biological sciences, verbal reasoning is tested . The exam is said to be one of the most diffult medical exam held worldwide.

Test duration and Format 

1.The Verbal Reasoning, Physical Sciences, and Biological Sciences sections are in multiple-choice format.
2.The passages and questions are predetermined, and thus do not change in difficulty depending on the performance of the test taker (unlike, for example, the general Graduate Record Examination).

The score range lies between 1 to 15 for each of the three sections , i,e, Verbal Reasoning, Physical Sciences, and Biological Sciences.

Eligibility criteria

Anyone preparing to apply for a health professional school can take the exam . The  exam is conducted in English so a fluency in the language is required.

Fee Structure 

The examination fee is divided into four broad categories.

1.Gold zone

A registration one month prior to taking the exam is mandatory.The exam is availble at a fixed price of $275.

2.Silver Zone

A registration to silver zone three weeks prior to taking the exam is mandatory.The exam is available at a fixed price of $275

3.Bronze zone

A registration to silver zone three weeks prior to taking the exam is mandatory.The exam is available at a fixed price of $275
