PSAT

The Preliminary SAT (PSAT) also known as National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test(NMSQT) is a test conducted by College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) in the United States . Approximately 3.5 million students take the PSAT/NMSQT each year.The test provides a goood practice for the SAT exam.

Format 

The PSAT exam consist of three sections :-

1.Math
2.Critical Reading
3.Writing

The exam is availble at a fixed price of $14.The maximum score is 80 in each section and 240 overall.The total duration to give  the exam is 2 hours 10 minutes and the highest scoring students may win scholarship money for the SAT exam. So while you shouldn't stress about the PSAT, you also shouldn't ignore it also.
