Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Trainer – Insurance Agent to develop, deliver, and enhance sales training programs for insurance advisors and agents. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving sales capabilities, driving performance excellence, and ensuring agents are equipped with strong product knowledge, compliance understanding, and customer engagement skills.

This role requires a strong background in insurance sales, coaching, performance analytics, and field training.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver structured training programs for new and existing insurance agents.

  • Conduct onboarding sessions covering insurance products, sales techniques, compliance guidelines, and CRM usage.

  • Provide field coaching and hands-on mentoring to improve conversion rates and sales productivity.

  • Develop sales scripts, objection-handling frameworks, and closing strategies.

  • Monitor sales performance metrics and recommend improvement strategies.

  • Conduct role-plays, workshops, and refresher training sessions.

  • Collaborate with sales leadership to align training programs with revenue targets.

  • Ensure training materials comply with regulatory and company standards.

  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and KPIs.

  • Stay updated on insurance industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory updates.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.

  • 3–7 years of experience in insurance sales.

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in sales training or coaching.

  • Strong understanding of life, health, or general insurance products.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • Ability to motivate and mentor diverse sales teams.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM platforms.


Preferred Skills

  • Insurance certifications or IRDA license (if applicable).

  • Experience in digital sales channels.

  • Strong analytical and performance-tracking skills.

  • Ability to conduct both in-person and virtual training sessions.

  • Leadership and team management capability.
