Physics Teacher – Senior Secondary School

Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Physics Teacher to join our Senior Secondary School in Delhi. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to prepare students for CBSE Board examinations and competitive examinations such as JEE.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Physics to students of Classes XI and XII as per the CBSE curriculum.

• Develop and deliver engaging, concept-based classroom lessons.

• Explain complex Physics concepts using practical examples, demonstrations, experiments, and problem-solving techniques.

• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, question papers, and study materials.

• Conduct regular assessments, tests, and revision sessions to track student progress.

• Provide additional academic support to students who require assistance.

• Prepare students effectively for CBSE Board examinations and, where applicable, JEE/competitive examinations.

• Conduct and supervise Physics laboratory experiments in accordance with school safety procedures.

• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and academic progress.

• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and areas of improvement.

• Participate in staff meetings, school events, academic planning, and professional development activities.

• Encourage curiosity, analytical thinking, scientific reasoning, and a strong interest in Physics.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Physics preferred; B.Sc. in Physics with relevant teaching experience may also be considered.

• B.Ed. qualification is preferred/required as per school requirements.

• Strong knowledge of the CBSE Physics curriculum for Classes XI–XII.

• Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience at the Senior Secondary level preferred.

• Experience preparing students for CBSE Board and JEE examinations will be an advantage.

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

• Strong proficiency in English.

• Ability to use digital teaching tools, presentations, simulations, and online learning resources.

Preferred Skills

• Strong conceptual understanding of Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Optics, Thermodynamics, Modern Physics, and related topics.

• Ability to simplify difficult concepts and make Physics engaging for students.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Student-focused and innovative approach to teaching.

• Ability to mentor students and identify individual learning needs.
