About Me

Dear Hiring Manager, I'm writing to apply for the Remote GCSE/A-Level Science Tutor position. I'll be at home in London this summer before starting my PhD in Operations Research at MIT in the autumn, and I'd love to spend it doing what I enjoy most: teaching. I recently graduated from Cornell University (BS in Computer Science and Operations Research, Magna cum Laude), where I worked as a teaching assistant in Discrete Mathematics and Optimization for two years. I was voted best teaching assistant of the year in Spring 2025, which meant a lot because the recognition came from students themselves. My long-term goal is to become a professor. My degree was heavily quantitative, so I'm well-suited to supporting students through A-Level Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Computer Science. I want to help students do well in their exams and sharpen my own teaching in the process. I'd be glad to do a trial session so you can see how I work. All the best, Adam Jovine@mit.edu
