I am eager to work as a tutor in a field I am passionate in. I have extensive experience in programming in both academic and professional settings. I am strongest with Python, Java, C and C++ but have also worked with other languages such as JavaScript. In school I used these languages at an advanced level to solve problems in machine learning and computer graphics. Professionally, I used Java for large software projects while working for the Canadian government. Early in my career I showed an interest for teaching. I tutored a younger student in mathematics while I was in grade 12. When I got to grad school I got the amazing opportunity to be a teaching assistant where I patiently helped students problem solve and learn new coding concepts. While struggling with some heath issues, I found a sense of purpose in tutoring an undergrad student with accommodations. I am excited at the prospect of joining your team and have a flexible schedule.
